For example, any performance that you've seen from Daniel Day-Lewis will see him putting everything that he has into his roles, and he has been rewarded with an Oscar win for Best Actor in a Leading Role three separate times. Many actors will also choose to star in films that they think can showcase their capabilities and will receive these kinds of recognition as a result. Many actors dream of one day hearing their name called at the Academy Awards to have their film or performance recognized as being one of the absolute best of any given year.
